Margaritaville Frose (Frozen Rose)

Frose Frozen Rose

If you’ve never had frose, are you even cool?

Frose

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • Ice

  • 375 ml. rose’ (1/2 bottle)

  • 1/2 cup honey

  • 2 cups chopped summer fruit (we use peaches & strawberries)

  • Champagne or prosecco for floater (optional)

During the height of the pandemic (summer of 2020), the Leli household proudly perfected the frozen wine recipe.

Fill your blender pitcher with rose’, honey, and chopped fruit. If using a Margaritaville blender, fill your ice reservoir and blend. If using a standard blender, fill the rest of your pitcher with ice and blend thoroughly until all fruit is fully blended. You don’t want chunks in your frose’.

Once blended poor into a wine or cocktail glass. For a boozy addition, top with a champagne/prosecco floater and garnish with a fruit slice and enjoy.

Notes:

While a Margaritaville blender is certainly not a requirement, we’re making a strong case for, “you need one of these.” It takes the guess work out of “how much ice should I use?” and without fail makes frozen beverages with the perfect consistency. Also very easy to operate and clean, so a win-win. See link below.

When choosing your fruit, we suggest using fruits that pair with the flavor of rose’. The most common choice is strawberries, but we like to mix it up with peaches, raspberries, or watermelon.

We have recently learned the best tasting roses are those lightest in color. See some of our favorites below.

If you don’t have rose’ or don’t care for it, this drink also works great with white wine.
