How To: Cooking Pasta Al Dente

Al Dente Pasta

Instructions:

  • Add water to your pot and bring to a boil on high. Once boiling, salt thoroughly. When you taste the water, it should taste salty. “Like the ocean!” as grandma always used to say

  • Add pasta to water and turn heat to medium, stirring occasionally

  • Cook pasta for 1 minute less than instructions indicate on the box

  • DO NOT DRAIN YOUR PASTA IN A STRAINER!!! We suggest adding your pasta to your sauce by spooning it into the sauce with a spider or slotted spoon if you don’t have a spider.

  • We suggest adding a few spoonful’s of pasta water to your sauce. It helps thicken it and helps sauce stick to your pasta.
